Faberdashery Filament

I love faberdashery filament! It is beautiful (some even sparkles) and it is great to print with. But never, ever, ever try to print with a 100m coil straight out the bag. I tried this morning and spent two and a half hours cursing and swearing as it twisted and tangled. Just 16 days to go. I have been doing some final preparations for Bonnie Hunter's Grassy Creek 2020 Mystery Quilt by doing a thorough pull from my stash for her colours. Luckily, I had quite a bit of fabric left over from my Dear Jane quilt in very similar colours, so that is filling the bulk of the stash pull. I need to buy 4 or so spools of white PLA filament. Have you used any of the following IN WHITE? Any feedback is welcome, good or bad. Ultimaker WHITE PLA. Colorfabb BLUISH WHITE PLA/PHA. Eumakers WHITE PLA. Any other good from European maker/vendor? Note, I did not include Faberdashery Arctic White because they only offer it in 1. This is a spool specific to Faberdashery filament that comes in package of 100 meter, well. Without a spool!! Like our famous filament spool stan.

Why there’s nothing I quite like more than buttoning up the finest faux suede longcoat, donning my tophat and printing colorful componentry into the wee hours of the morning. There’s just something enjoyable about it that frightens people slightly. Part of that may be the amazing color assortment of plastic filament I have wrapped around my face. It’s all thanks to a wonderful new shop making the acquisition of such material a dream come true for plastic hacks and print shops alike. It’s the Faberdashery, a shop for the refined maker who delights in the wonders of 3D printing.
